The Yuvad CES3000TA products are advanced video advertising platforms for automatically inserting local video programs into nationally programmed TV content without the use of network cue-tone signals.

Video Advertising without the Cue-tone Signals

The CES advertising solution is the first of its kind in the market that automatically identifies video ads in the network programming content at frame boundaries and then replaces it with locally inserted advertisement. The solution is based on the patent-pending video fingerprint technology from Yuvad.It integrates video encoding, splicing and video identification algorithms into a single system to create a solution that can automatically identify incoming advertisement without the use of digital cue-tone signals and to insert local advertisement. The ad splicing operation is frame-precise and seamless. The CES system accepts MPEG-2 TS input and supports output in either MPEG-2 TS or H.264 format in standard definition. With the CES solution, it is possible to insert local ad and programs strictly within the television advertising avails. Because the solution does not rely on network cue-tone signals which must originates from the program content source, the solution can provide automatic ad insertion in television programs where no network cue-tone is present.

Video Quality
The CES advertising products incorporate advanced Yuvad patent-pending video compression algorithms (SuperSqueezer?). As a result, best video quality at the lowest bit rate can be achieved. In addition, because all overlay processing is performed in digital domain, there is no loss in video quality due to A/D and D/A conversions.

Multiple Channels

Each of the CES system can be configured to support multiple channels of concurrent ad insertion operations. The inserted programs can be SPTS, or be multiplexed into MPTS for output. Each of the inserted channels are managed independently from each other, with individualized schedules, individualized replacement strategies, individualized and independent avail timing – all without the use of network provided cue-tone signals.

Manageability and Upgradeability
The CES is field-upgradeable and programmable to support more advanced services, such as text and graphic overlay. Customers have the flexibility to incrementally add new service features as the business need expands. The CES platform shares the same platform as other products within the Yuvad product family – same management interface, modular feature sets, and interchangeable hardware platforms. Customers no longer have to integrate different hardware, purchase separate licenses, or deal with incompatible software management tools.
